# Runway shot brief and review sheet

Companion guide: https://queststudio.io/blog/runway-prompts

This blank worksheet records your own results. It is not an official Runway document or a model benchmark.

## Plan one usable shot

- Intended use in the edit:
- Text-to-video or image-to-video:
- Selected model:
- Source image filename, if needed:
- Main visible action:
- Camera behavior:
- Selected duration:
- Selected aspect ratio:
- Other selected controls:
- What must stay recognizable:
- Pass conditions:
- Retry budget you are comfortable with:

Choose duration in the generation controls. Timestamp text is approximate direction, not a promise of frame-accurate timing.

## Keep a record

| Attempt | Prompt or saved prompt filename | One change from the prior attempt | Output filename | Pass/fail and reason |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| A | | Initial brief | | |
| B | | | | |
| C | | | | |

Keep model, input image, duration, and aspect ratio fixed when comparing one prompt change. Record any other setting that changes. Random variation means one better output does not establish causation.

## Inspect the result

- At normal speed: does the main action read clearly?
- At the start: is the framing useful and the subject correct?
- At the middle: do subject shape and contact with the scene hold up?
- At the end: does the camera finish where the edit needs it?
- Across the clip: are cuts or geometry changes distracting?
- If sound matters: has the actual audio been checked separately?

## Decide the next action

- First visible failure:
- Smallest useful rewrite:
- Keep the best approved clip:
- Use a simpler shot, repair the source, switch workflow, or stop:

Keep the approved clip before trying another variation. Do not spend the remaining budget automatically.
