# Portrait style review

Candidate: /static/blog/portrait-style-study-monochrome.webp
Both original canvases: 1672 x 941 pixels.

Allowed change: restrained black-and-white tonality only.
Keep: face shape, age, smile, hair/beard, glasses, clothes, pose, framing and light direction.
Observed: color removed; broad pose, glasses and shirt layout remain similar. Forehead lines, beard strands and fabric ridges look more pronounced. This is not an untouched-face claim.
Decision: style candidate only. For a color-only conversion of a real portrait, use a regular editor's tonal adjustment on the original rather than unnecessary generation.
