## Example geometry

Canvas: 1200 x 660 pixels. Outer left/right margin: 24 pixels.
Gap: 24 pixels. Each square image frame: 564 x 564 pixels.
Frame positions: A (24,72), B (612,72). Bottom margin: 24 pixels.
Width check: 24 + 564 + 24 + 564 + 24 = 1200.
Height check: 72 + 564 + 24 = 660.

For a 1024 x 1536 portrait:
- Fit: image displays 376 x 564; 94 pixels blank on each side of its frame.
- Fill: image displays 564 x 846 before clipping; 141 output pixels are hidden at each end.
- Equivalent centered source crop: x=0, y=256, width=1024, height=1024.
- Neither method stretches the image; fill hides content.
