Audition a MiniMax Speech 2.8 Turbo voiceover before expanding the script
Use Speech 2.8 Turbo for text-to-speech: you supply the words, then review the returned performance. Start with a short passage that includes the hardest part of the real job, such as a product name, date or instruction. A fluent greeting is not enough to approve a full lesson or advertisement. This QuestStudio selection does not expose a voice-cloning upload, even though the provider documents cloning capabilities elsewhere.
| Creative job | Start with | Decision rule |
|---|---|---|
| Read a new script | Open Speech 2.8 Turbo | Use the Text-to-Speech mode and select the language of the written script. Check the active model and allowance estimate before pressing Generate. |
| Keep an authorized speaker identity | Prepare an XTTS sample | Choose a workflow that accepts a reference recording. A general delivery instruction in the script field does not supply a voice sample. |
| Read difficult numbers | Prepare numbers and dates | Decide how each number should sound. Write ambiguous dates or abbreviations as spoken words, then compare the audio with the approved meaning. |
A controlled workflow that wastes fewer generations
- Save a short approved script separately. An original audition could read: Your blue notebook is ready. Collect it at nine thirty on Tuesday. Bring your order number. This is a proposed test passage, not a measured model result.
- Listen once without reading. Then replay with the script beside you and mark missing words, changed numbers, awkward pauses and pronunciation separately. Revise one ambiguity at a time so you can tell what improved.
- Expand only after the audition passes. Divide longer work at natural sentence boundaries, retain the same chosen settings and review joins in the finished edit. Save the accepted audio with the exact script; a later regeneration may deliver the same words differently.
Questions before you generate
Does selecting a language translate the script?
No translation step is provided by this Voice Lab control. Prepare the script in the intended language and review it before generating speech.
Can I use every setting in the provider documentation here?
No. Provider capabilities and QuestStudio controls are different. Use the fields visible for this model; this selection does not expose reference-voice cloning or a dedicated emotion selector.
